Field Test With Us

One loadout, revised after every leg. Five coastlines. Twelve months, carried on foot. If you make something that has to survive that, put it in the trial.

The program

Over a twelve-month testing period, from home water in Hawaii to Costa Rica in August 2027, the loadout gets fished on foot across four trips and five very different coastlines, and revised after every leg: what earns its place stays, what does not gets cut. Nothing is fished from a boat. Everything is carried.

WhenWhereWater
November 2026Baja California Sur Sand beaches, estuaries, cuts, rock piles
January 2027Molokai Sand beaches, fringing reef flats walked at low water, rock shelves, sea cliffs
March 2027Thailand and the Maldives Andaman beaches, mangrove edges and estuary mouths, then atoll flats and skinny water, walked
July and August 2027Costa Rica Guanacaste rock points and sand coves on the Pacific, then Golfo Dulce: gulf water, mangrove and river mouths in the wet season

Why this is worth a sample

A single trip tells you your product worked once, somewhere. Five coastlines in twelve months tells you how it holds up against grit, coral abrasion, mangrove humidity, wet-season rain, sustained salt and long carry days — and it produces footage in water your customers actually daydream about.

It's also continuous. You're not buying one post; you're in a trial that gets referenced every time the kit list is revised. Products go through their first paces on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii Island before they fly anywhere, and the ones that graduate keep getting carried — the coastlines after 2027 are already listed on the destinations page.

What you get

What we ask

Product, not payment. Send the item you want tested and it goes in the bag for the legs it suits. If it earns its place it stays for the whole trial and gets written about repeatedly.

If a longer arrangement makes sense on your side — multiple SKUs, a season-long relationship, an affiliate or discount arrangement — that's a conversation worth having, and the sooner in the trial the better.

The one condition

Results are published honestly, including when a product fails. That's not a threat, it's the reason the reviews are worth anything to your customers — and it's what separates this from an affiliate site that likes everything it's sent.

Everything provided is disclosed clearly under FTC endorsement rules, on every piece of coverage it appears in.

Timing

There is no deadline, but the first destination trip, to Cabo, departs November 1. Whatever arrives goes into field testing on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii Island when it lands: weighed, carried, and written up against the published criteria. What survives the Kohala Coast graduates to the destination trips and claims its spot in the loadout. Nothing flies until it has been carried here, so the first trip a product can make is the next one after it has earned it.
